THE CITADEL SHUTS OUT VMI IN 3-GAME SERIES

The Citadel completed a three-game Southern Conference sweep of VMI behind Gettys Glaze who twirled a four-hitter and fanned 11 as the Bulldogs defeated the Keydets 9-0 Sunday.

The Keydets (6-25 overall 2-10 Southern) got two runners as far as second base the entire game, while the Bulldogs (23-13, 5-6) hit six doubles to tie a school record. Staff report
