ROANOKE STARS WIN WIN AAU TOURNAMENT

Erika Hale scored 20 points to lead the Roanoke Stars past Williamson Road 53-26 in the Virginia AAU girls' 11-and-under basketball tournament Sunday at William Byrd.

The Stars finished the double-elimination tournament with a 5-0 record. Williamson Road, which advanced through the losers' bracket after a loss to the Stars, finished 5-2.

Heather Miller added 16 points for the Stars.
