VIRGINIA TECH HONORS 3 BASKETBALL PLAYERS

Virginia Tech sophomore basketball players Jimmy Carruth, Andy Reed and Donald Corker received awards at a picnic honoring the 1991-92 team over the weekend.

Carruth, a center from Port Arthur, Texas, was voted the team's most inspirational and most improved player.

Reed, a guard from Hilton Head, S.C., had the top academic standing, and Corker, a guard from Decatur, Ga., was voted the best defensive player. - Staff report
