CHRISTIANSBURG - Charles A. Bartlett, age 83, of Overhill Drive, died Monday, March 30, 1992 at his home. He was Commander of the American Legion in Christiansburg and is survived by his wife, Virginia M. Bartlett; a daughter, Nancy B. Showalter, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Claire S. and Mark A. Burk, Chesapeake; Josiah T. Showalter, Jr.; Henry D. Showalter; Catherine L. Showalter, all of Christiansburg; Alexander M. and Lee Ann Showalter, Charlotte, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Andrew Josiah Burk; a stepbrother, Woodrow Bartlett, Roanoke. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday fro the Park United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. William E. Olewiler with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Tuesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
