RAPHINE - Homer Hinkle McManama, age 76, died Sunday, March 29, 1992 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mr. McManama was born August 23, 1915 in Rockbridge County a son of the late Walter Scott McManama and Mattie Plogger McManama. He was a life member and elder of the New Providence Presbyterian Church and also served a Superintendent of Sunday Schools and was a member of Brownsburg Ruritan Club. Surviving are his wife, Eva Dare McManama; one daughter, Linda J. Jones, Staunton; one son, James Wayne McManama, Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Mrs. Althea Fox and Mrs. Pauline Patterson, both of Waynesboro; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 1992 in the New Providence Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John H.H. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Fairfield First Aid or the New Providence Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
