BLACKSBURG - Lucille Catherine Price, age 82, born November 8, 1909, died March 29, 1992, in Martinsville Convalescent Home, where she had been a resident since she became ill in October 1976. She was the daughter of the late George Matthew and Minnie Lee Smith Price of Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Harvey and Thelma Wills; and two brothers, George (Bud) and Lewis Price. Survivors include four sisters, Mabel P. Lucas, Blacksburg; Elizabeth P. Wright, Martinsville; Frances P. Hobbs, Bethesda, Md.; Josephine P. Grissom, Suffolk; two brothers-in-law, Osborne Grissom and Clyde Willis; and several nieces and nephews. She joined the Lutheran Church on April 20, 1924. She was employed by the Government in Washington, D.C., from 1961 to 1975, when she became ill. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Schroeder will officiate. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Mabel P. Lucas, 412 Lee Street, Blacksburg, and from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCoy Funeral Home.
