BRAMMER, EMMA J.

BASSETT - Mrs. Emma Jane Lackey Brammer, 92 of Oak Level Road, Bassett, died Sunday, March 29, 1992 in Memorial hospital, Martinsville. She was born October 3, 1899 in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Elden George Lackey and Betty Jane Turner Lackey. She was the widow of George J. Brammer, and was a member of Riverview Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are, a son, Thurman W. Brammer, Roanoke; a daughter, Mrs. John (Velma) Pankovich, Bassett; two half sisters, Mrs. Tommy (Nervie) Lovell, Henry; Mrs. James (Myrtle) Ramsey, Front Royal; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at her home on Oak Level Road, Bassett, for the immediate family with elders Tommy Brammer and Carl Terry officiating. Interment will be in the Helms family cemetery, Bassett. Memorial contributions may be made to Bassett Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Chapel, Bassett.
