COLLEGE DAY PLANNED AT TECH FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE DISABILITIES

High school students with disabilities are being invited to attend College Day at Virginia Tech on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Donaldson Brown Center.

Representatives from universities, community colleges and supporting agencies will talk with students, parents, special-education teachers, guidance counselors and administrators.

Among scheduled participants are Virginia Tech, Ferrum College, University of Virginia, New River Community College, financial aid representatives and people from the Virginia Department for Rehabilitative Services.

There will be a panel, videos and chances to talk with students with disabilities who already are enrolled in colleges. It is sponsored by New River Community College and the Southwest Virginia Transition Center at Virginia Tech. Call 674-3600, extension 358.
