NOTE TO READERS
Starting today, we're making some changes we hope you'll like.
Local, regional and state news will begin on the front of a separate section seven days a week. In the past, our local/state report has begun on A-3 on Saturdays and Mondays. This change emphasizes the importance we place on our local report.
A redesigned, easier-to-use classified advertising section will be in the local/state news section every day but Sunday, when it will be a separate section. The new classified section will feature improved maps showing real estate areas and car dealership locations.
The Outdoors page has moved from Sunday to Monday. It appears on the back of the Sports section today, a position that allows use of color photographs and graphics.
The Money page also has moved. It is on the back of the first section today, and will appear every Monday on the back of a section to allow use of color.
On Saturdays, Sports and Extra will be in the same section, with Extra starting on the back. This will maintain our longstanding commitment to give Sports a section front for display of Friday night events.
Saturday Extra also will have a new focus, with more reviews of movies, videos, plays, music and books - all in one place for convenient use at the start of the weekend.
