OBIT DOOLEY, ANNA CARTER

DOOLEY, Anna Carter, 77, of Bedford, died Saturday, February 27, 1993, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 25, 1915, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late William Madison Carter and Minnie Virginia Dooley Carter, and was a member of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley D. Comer, Linda D. Peters, both of Bedford, Sarah Dooley Goff of Rocky Mount; one son, Roland E. Dooley, Bedford; two sisters, Willis Butler of Richmond, Lillian W. Floyd of Alexandria; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1993, at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Howard K. Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the Dooley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grace Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
