COURT SQUARE ANTIQUES STORE OPENS IN PULASKI
Court Square Antiques and Collectibles, located above Martin's Pharmacy on Main Street, opened for business Monday. The vacant 4,000-square-foot top floor has been renovated into spaces to rent to people interesting in selling antiques and collectibles. Pharmacy owner Eddie Hale said he wanted to wait until about half the more than 30 spaces were rented before opening.
Hale was the second person to announce an antiques-oriented business in downtown Pulaski.
He announced his plans to renovate the upper floor of his store for the purpose in November, about two weeks after E. Sargent Hoopes III came to Pulaski from Aiken, S.C., to develop the Pulaski Antique Center now open at 80 W. Main St.
Court Square is on the second floor at 57 W. Main St., across from the Antique Center. Hoopes' announcement of his facility spurred Hale to consider using his property to provide outlets for smaller dealers.
