ARTS COUNCIL OF BLUE RIDGE ACCEPTING ART-SHOW ENTRIES

The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge is accepting entires for the 14th Annual Roanoke City Art Show until 5 p.m. on March 22.

This juried exhibition of fine arts and crafts will be on display May 22-July 11 in the first-floor gallery of the Art Museum of Western Va.

The exhibition is open to artists and artisans in the Blue Ridge Mountains who are over 18 years old.

The city of Roanoke will award $500 to one artist whose work is selected by juror John Perreault, senior curator of the American Craft Museum in New York, and $100 to one artist whose work is selected as the People's Choice. Five $200 Awards of excellence are given at the discretion of the juror and are sponsored by local businesses.
