`THE LONG WAY HOME' FUND-RAISING DISCUSSION

Business, industrial and governmental leaders on Friday will discuss a possible fund-raising campaign for the New River Valley's annual outdoor drama, "The Long Way Home."

William J. Hawkins of Blue Chip Management Services Inc. of Mechanicsburg, Pa., will discuss the possibilities of a major campaign in support of the drama.

The luncheon gathering will be in the Norwood Room at noon. The buffet is $7. Reservations can be made by calling Jill Barr, economic development director for the city of Radford, at 731-3623.

"The Long Way Home" completed its 22nd season last fall.

Written by Earl Hobson Smith, the play is based on Mary Draper Ingles' escape from Shawnee warriors. It has become one of the New River Valley's major tourist attractions.
