OBIT THRUSH, KATIE N.

THRUSH, Katie N., 78, of Salem, died Monday, March 1, 1993, in Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was a native of Marion, and is survived by one son, Ray Richardson, Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter, Lettie L. Midkiff, Salem; a sister, Mae Kirby, Salem; six grandchildren, Pattie Mills, Cathy Feazell, Sherry Lawhorn and Donald Richardson, all of Salem, Brenda Richardson and Donna Parker, both of Wilmington, N.C.; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Arrangements by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home.
