OBIT DALTON, JAMES WESLEY SR.
DALTON, James Wesley Sr., 77, of Roanoke, died Sunday, February 28, 1993.
He was formerly of Kyle, W.Va. and was a member of Northfork Baptist Church,
Northfork, W.Va., where he served as a deacon and Sunday school
superintendent. He was a member of North Elk Rescue Squad, McDowell County
Ambulance Authority, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by
his wife, Ruby P. Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, James W. (Jim) Dalton Jr.,
and wife, Wanda Dalton, Roanoke; one grandson, Bryan W. Dalton, Roanoke; three
brothers, Bill Dalton, Hugh F. Dalton, both of Salem, Wallace Dalton, Carol
Stream, Ill.; one sister, Roberta D. Dunford, Pearisburg. Funeral services
will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 with the
Rev. Frank Blevins and the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Burial will be in
Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
American Cancer Society. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the
family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
