OBIT HARVEY, HAZEL BRADFORD

HARVEY, Hazel Bradford, 71, of Roanoke, died Monday, March 1, 1993, in a local nursing home. She was the widow of Jesse E. Harvey. She belonged to many civic organizations and many genealogical societies. She was retired from the United States Government. Surviving are three brothers and sisters-in-law, W. Lewis Bradford, S. Elwood and Mary Becky Bradford, Burwell A. and Bernice Bradford, all of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Marion T. Harvey, Hendersonville, N.C.; nephew, Charles E. Boyd, Jr. and family of Roanoke, and Charles' wife, Judy Boyd, who was loved as a daughter; nieces, Mary Lou Gulyas, Hendersonville, N.C., Betty B. Murray, Hendersonville, Tenn., Martha B. Ashworth, Chatham, Betty Wade, Roanoke, Doris McDonel, South Bend, Ind., Dianne Swink, Lexington; other nephews, David Bradford, Copper Hill, Phillip Bradford, Yuma, Ariz., Sam Bradford, Roanoke; also surviving are a number of other close relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Aaron Rummage officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
