CONTRACEPTIVE INJECTION AVAILABLE

Planned Parenthood of The Blue Ridge is offering depo provera, a contraceptive injection, to people in Blacksburg and Roanoke.

The injection is given every 12 weeks under clinical supervision. Typically, it works as well as sterilization and Norplant and is more effective than other forms of birth control.

The long-acting birth control method also is very affordable.
