OBIT IRVIN, CHARLES HENRY JR.
IRVIN, Charles Henry Jr., 53, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away on
Tuesday, March 2, 1993. He was a native of Roanoke and had lived in
Winston-Salem since 1962. He was a member of the St. John A.M.E. Church of
Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Lucille Nelson Irvin;
his daughter, Stefanie Irvin. He is survived by his wife, Robbie R. Irvin; his
son, Charles H. Irvin III, both of Winston-Salem, N.C.; his father, Charles H.
Irvin Sr., Hardy; four sisters, Jacqueline (Oscar) Craggett, Roanoke, Delois
(Oliver) Shaw, Southington, Conn., Patricia (Haywood) Dunlap, Hardy, Joan
(John) Smith, Forest Park, Ohio; a brother, Elbert Louis (Norma) Irvin, South
Windsor, Conn.; a foster brother, Anthony (Yvonne) Early, Rocky Mount; an
aunt, Virginia Divers, Roanoke; other relatives and friends. Funeral services
will be Saturday, March 6, noon from the Mount Calvary Holy Church,
Winston-Salem, N.C., by Rev. James P. Beatty. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Winston-Salem, N.C. The visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. on
Friday at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel, 822 Carl Russell Ave.,
Winston-Salem, N.C.
