BODY PARTS FROM ANIMAL, NOT PERSON

A man charged with leaving what authorities in Wytheville and Marion thought at first were human body parts at two Wytheville locations has been charged with improperly disposing of animal remains.

Stanley Allen Trivett of Sugar Grove faces two charges of disposing of what turned out to be the decomposed paw and foot of a bear or some other large animal. He is a taxidermy student.

The state laboratory in Roanoke confirmed that the source of the remains was not human. - Southwest bureau
