OBIT DANIELS, FRED
DANIELS, Fred, 100, of Waynesboro, died Saturday, February 27, 1993, at
Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, Md. Mr. Fred Daniels was formerly of
Roanoke. He was born January 27, 1893, in Greenville, Texas, a son of Sidney
and Cornelia Daniels. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Waynesboro.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Daniels February 13, 1989, and
a son, Francello L. Daniels June 4, 1991. Mr. Daniels owned and operated the
former Marshall's Grill Restaurant located on Port Republic Rd., Waynesboro.
He loved baseball and played in the old Negro Baseball League. Survivors
include six sons, Fred L. Daniels, Los Angeles, Calif., Frank L., Freeland L.,
Francis L., Antione D. Daniels, all of Waynesboro, Baldez T. Daniels,
Staunton; three daughters, Freida Hall, Sandy Spring, Md., Florisa Williams,
Chesapeake, Sgt. 1st Class April Nance, Fort Bragg, N.C.; 33 grandchildren; 4
great-grandchildren; a number of nephews and other relatives. He is also
survived by two sisters-in-law, Josephine Beverly and Evelyn Williams; two
brothers-in-law, Boss Robertson, all of Roanoke; Jimmy Robertson,
Gaithersburg, Md. Funeral was held Thursday, March 4.
