OBIT RAMSEY, GLEN MORRIS

RAMSEY, Glen Morris, 77, of 407 Patsy Ave., Collinsville, died Friday, March 5, 1993, at his home. Born in Henry County December 14, 1915, he was a son of the late Mary Davis and James Henry Ramsey. He was retired from Hooker Furniture Co. with 34 years service. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Turner Ramsey; three sons, Richard Lee Ramsey of Martinsville, David Morris Ramsey and Timothy Wayne Ramsey, both of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Beamon (Ethel) Hodges, Mrs. Arthur (Mary) Davis, and Mrs. Elmer (Josephine) Horsley, all of Bassett; five brothers, William Pete Ramsey, Charlie R. Ramsey, and Edward D. Ramsey, all of Bassett, Lewis J. Ramsey of Spencer, and Harold L. Ramsey of Ferrum; one granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Ramsey of Martinsville. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Collinsville with Rev. Sam Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Collins Funeral Services, Bassett.
