OBIT WADE, BARRY KENT

WADE, Barry Kent, 41, of New York City, N.Y., died Wednesday, March 3, 1993, at his residence. Born in Clifton Forge, Va., March 20, 1951, he was the son of R. V. Wade and Urcyl Haymaker Wade of Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Rockbridge Co. He was senior editor for Morton Publishing Co. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Judith Harrington, Valdosta, Ga.; one brother, Alan Wade, Jacksonville, Fla.; three nieces, Emily and Sara Wade, Jacksonville, Fla., Megan Harrington, Valdosta, Ga.; two nephews, Luke Harrington, Valdosta, Ga., Matt Harrington, Accur, Ghana; companion, George Dumbadze, New York City, N.Y. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brad Langdon officiating. Burial will follow in the Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cabrini Hospice, 227 E. 19th St., New York, N.Y. 10003. Following the committal service, the family will host a reception at the Lexington Holiday Inn. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington, Va.
