MEEKS-WILSON

Dawn Rena Wilson and Al Charles Meeks III were married February 13, 1993, in Jerusalem Baptist Church. Dr. J.E. Young performed the ceremony. The reception was held at the Magnolia Room. The maid of honor was Crystal L. Wilson, sister. Matron of honor was Vanessa Moyer, and bridesmaids were Joanie Elder, Diana Newman, Cindy Carter, Vickie Meeks, Dawn Saunders, and Nancy Richardson, all friends. Flowergirls were Tonquie Lynch, Lynetta Lewis, Ashley Richardson, Kenya Harvey, Shakira Moyer, and Rhaisheeta Elder. The best man was George Meeks, brother. Ushers were Anthony Thurman, Cedric Alexander, Ke'Ante Meldrum, Henry Loney, Robert Brown, Kurt Hampton, and Ruben Johnson, all friends. Ringbearers were Al Charles Meeks IV and Kamyron Meeks. The candlelighters were Shawn Lawrence and Prescott Basham. The guestbook was attended by Joyce Hash. The bride's gown, by Italiano Elaganza, was of satin and sequins. She carried a waterfall bouquet of red and white roses. The bride is a daughter of Mr. Bobby Wilson and Mrs. Mary Wilson, of Roanoke. She graduated from William Fleming High School and the Academy of Business Careers. She is employed by Central Wholesale Supply Corp. The groom is a son of Mrs. Mary Maxine Meeks, of Roanoke. He graduated from William Fleming High School and Norfolk State University. He is employed by Rainbo Bread Co. After the wedding trip to the Pocono Resorts, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
