EMORY & HENRY WINS IN SOUTH REGION PLAY
Teddy Gibson and Derek Elmore each scored 14 points Saturday as Emory & Henry cruised to an 83-61 victory over Maryville in the second round of the NCAA Division III South Region basketball tournament.
Emory & Henry (23-4) will play the winner of the Calvin-Otterbein game. Maryville (20-6) trailed 45-35 at the half and never was able to close the gap.
Chris Clark led Maryville with 18 points.
Dewayne Moore and Brian Witcher each scored 13 points for Emory & Henry and Shannon Archer added 10. \
