BARBER SCHOOL STUDENT KILLED BY GUNMEN

Several gunmen opened fire inside a barber school, killing a 21-year-old man and wounding two teen-agers.

Craig Thomas E. Green, a student at the Richmond Barber and Styling School, was killed in what witnesses described as an execution-style shooting. Police said Saturday there had been no arrests.

Three to five men entered the barber shop about 7 p.m. Friday and ran past the rows of barber chairs until they reached Green, according to a man who said he watched from outside.

The gunman, who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s, opened fire from close range, one witness said. About six people were in the room at the time of the shooting, witnesses said.

Green's father, Ivor Green, said his son had only a month left before he would be ready to test for his license. - Associated Press
