OBIT AKERS, HILDA EULENE WILSON

AKERS, Hilda Eulene Wilson, 62, of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, March 5, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital after a brief illness. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Christiansburg Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are her husband, Harold D. Akers; one daughter, Martha Lynn Akers, Purcelville; a son and daughter-in-law, H. David and Debbie Akers, and her mother, Hilda B. Wilson, all of Christiansburg. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday from the St. Paul United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Rick Geoghegan and the Rev. Chuck McHose. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon only at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
