OBIT ALTICE, RALPH ELMA

ALTICE, Ralph Elma, 75, of Rt. 3, Rocky Mount, died Saturday, March 6, 1993, in the local hospital. He was retired from American of Martinsville, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Stella Meeks Altice. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Robertson Altice, a son, James Calvin Altice, and his mother-in-law, Bessie Slayton Robertson, all of Rt. 3, Rocky Mount; three sisters, Orpha L. Altice, Mrs. Emmett W. (Jesse) Guthrie and Mrs. Wallace L. (Gertrude) Lumsden, all of Rt. 2, Boones Mill; two brothers, Woodrow W. Altice and D. Bernard Altice, both of Rt. 4, Rocky Mount; a number of nieces, nephews and and host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday from Lynch Chapel with the Rev. Bob Sowder and the Rev. Curtis English officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday where the family will be from 7 until 9 p.m.
