RADFORD WOMEN PLAYING HOST TO THE BIG SOUTH TOURNAMENT
The Dedmon Center and Radford University will play host to the 1993 Big South Conference women's basketball tournament beginning Wednesday night.The championship game is Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday's action pits No. 8 seed Charleston Southern (9-17) against No. 9 seed Winthrop (6-20) at 6 p.m., followed by No. 7 seed Coastal Carolina (10-16) against No. 10 seed UNC Asheville (0-26) at 8 p.m.
In the quarterfinals Thursday, fourth-seeded Towson State (11-15) meets Maryland-Baltimore County (11-15) at 1 p.m. The Charleston Southern-Winthrop winner plays top-seeded UNC Greensboro (17-9) at 3 p.m., and No. 3 seed Campbell (16-9) faces No. 6 seed Liberty (15-11) at 7 p.m.
Radford (14-11), the second seed, plays the Coastal Carolina-UNC Asheville winner Thursday at 9 p.m.
The semifinals will be Friday at 6 and 8 p.m.
