FRANKLIN GIRL REPORTS RICHMOND RAPE

A 14-year-old Franklin County student has told authorities that she was raped by two men in a Richmond motel during a stay related to a school-sponsored event.

The student was part of a delegation attending the state wrestling tournament late last month.

She said she was assaulted by the two men in their room.

Franklin County authorities are assisting Richmond police in their investigation. Police learned of the alleged rape from Franklin County school officials.

Police have identified two suspects in the case, ages 18 and 19. No charges had been placed Monday.
