RADFORD UNBEATEN IN COLLEGE BASEBALL
Freshman third baseman Rob McCandless drove in four runs Monday to pace Radford to a 13-3 college baseball victory over visiting Juniata (Pa.) College at Dedmon Center Park. McCandless was 4-for-5 as the Highlanders (4-0) equaled the best start in the nine-year history of the baseball program.Galen Heidrick belted a two-run home run in the third inning and freshman shortstop Aaron Pasko had three of Radford's 16 hits.

Virginia Tech is fifth in a 17-team field after Monday's double round in the Budget/Central Florida Golf Classic at the par-72, 7,167-yard Eastwood Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. After 36 holes, Minnesota leads the tournament at 588. Tech is at 597. Virginia Tech's Brian Sharp is in fourth place after he shot 72-73-145. Three golfers are tied for the lead at 143. Other top Hokies include Clayton Friend (147), Sean Farrell (150), Mark McGuire (156) and Tom Graziano (162).
