OBIT OBENSHAIN, VERNA BOWER

OBENSHAIN, Verna Bower, 95, of Richfield Nursing Home, formerly of Fincastle, died March 9, 1993. She went home to be with the Lord. She was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was the widow of Marcus W. Obenshain and was preceded in death by two sons, LeVan and Kenneth Obenshain. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Helen) Wood, San Mateo, Calif., Mrs. Velma Britt, Salem, Mrs. Jimmy (Frances Isabel) Bramblett, Christiansburg; also a son and daughter-in-law, Roy (R. L.) and Lee Obenshain, Richmond; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11, 11 a.m. at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home, Troutville. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund.
