OBIT BROWN, JIM HENRY
BROWN, Jim Henry, 78, of Huddleston, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 1993
in Woodhaven Nursing Home. He was born in Bedford County on January 20, 1915,
a son of the late Dave Brown and Hester Kasey Brown. He was a retired farmer
and automobile mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Mittie Anderson Brown; a
stepson, Boyd W. Garrett and wife, Huddleston; a nephew, Charles I. Brown and
wife, Kileen, Texas; a niece, Barbara Scott and husband, Yeardon, Pa.; a
great-nephew, Robert Jr. Brown, Washington, D.C.; three great-nieces, Sharon
Pannell and Husband, Rev. Pannell, Philadelphia, Pa.; Tijuana Brown,
Washington, D.C., Hester Brown, Kileen, Texas; three foster children, Pam
Goggins and husband, Goodview, Debra Calloway and husband, Bedford, and
Frances Tucker, Lynchburg. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11
a.m. from Oak Grove Baptist Church with interment in the Brown Family
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Baptist Church,
Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston is in charge of
arrangements.
