OBIT MUMPOWER, LEE W.

MUMPOWER, Lee W. 74, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, March 10, 1993 at his home. He was a member of Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church, Bristol, Va. and was a retired driver for Mundy Motor Lines and Jones Motor Lines. He was a Marine Corps Veteran in World War II and participated in action against the enemy in Guadalcanal. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Mumpower; one daughter, Valerie M. Dillon, Roanoke; one very special grandson, Timothy Lee Helton, Alexandria; one sister, Irma M. Anderson, Bristol, Tenn.; two nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 2 p.m. Friday, March 12 with military honors. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel after 2 p.m. Thursday.
