OBIT MURPHY, JOSEPH P.

MURPHY, Joseph P. 76, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, March 9, 1993 in a local hospital. He was a retired branch manager with Nolen Company. Surviving are his wife, Virginia S. Murphy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. John M. Murphy, West Palm Beach, Fla., Mr. & Mrs. David M. Murphy, Charlottesville, Mr. & Mrs. Stephen W. Murphy, Minneapolis, Minn.; daughter and son-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. David B. Campbell, Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. C.M. Ely, Mrs. L. Williams; two brothers, Thomas A. Murphy, Michael L. Murphy; nine grandchildren. Memorial funeral mass will be at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 11:15 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. FR. Joseph C. Facura officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to the St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
