OBIT HORTON, CEYRAL CLAUDE

HORTON, Ceyral Claude, 70, of Floyd, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 1993 at his home. He was a veteran of World War II and was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Horton. He is survived by two daughters, Judith Patterson, Atlanta, Ga., Linda Reed, Bellingham, Wash., two sons, Joseph Horton, Lexington, Ky., David Horton, Salem; a dear friend, Peggy Harris, Floyd; two sisters, Mae H. Branscome, Hillsville, Ruthie H. Diviak, Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother, Guy Horton, Hillsville; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 that evening.
