GATEWAY CHRISTIAN WINS 62-56 IN BASKETBALL
In Dayton, Tenn., Brad Ewing scored 22 points as Gateway Christian beat Faith Christian of Goldsboro, N.C., 62-56 to advance to the final four of the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament. David Arthur added 19 points and Sam Moore collected 15 for Gateway (17-2). Faith Christian is 20-4.\ Washington and Lee freshman Rebekah Prince swam her way to All-America status, finishing 15th in the 200-yard individual medley in the NCAA Division III Championships at Emory University in Atlanta. Prince, the Atlantic States swimmer of the year, had a time of 2 minutes, 12.60 seconds, breaking her W&L record.
\ At Hilton Head, S.C., Roanoke College concluded Hilton Head Week college men's tennis play with a 4-1 record, defeating Mount Union (Ohio) 8-1. The Maroons' Tom Kops was 4-1 in singles for the week, and No. 5 player Brian Krupin finished the week 8-2 in his doubles and singles matches.
