CHILDREN'S CLASSES IN MUSIC, THEATER SET
The Community Arts School at Radford University is sponsoring classes in music and theater for children.
"Music Readiness," an introduction to music, involves hands-on experience with piano and rhythm instruments. The class, open to children ages 4-6, meets Tuesdays for six weeks from 5-5:30 p.m. at Porterfield Hall in room 125. The cost is $35. The first class is Tuesday.
"Meet the Piano," an introduction to piano playing, will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-6 p.m. in Porterfield Hall, room 106, beginning Tuesday. The class is open to children ages 6-11. The fee is $35.
Children ages 6-12 may participate in acting, set construction, makeup and other theater activities in "Theatre Adventure." This class will be held Saturdays in Powell Hall for six weeks beginning March 27. The $35 fee includes all instruction and materials. Enrollment is limited and preregistration is required.
