OBIT-RICHARDSON, LEOMA FRANCES TOLBERT

RICHARDSON, Leoma Frances Tolbert, 87, of Narrows, died Tuesday, March 9, 1993 in a Hampton Virginia Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County on February 15, 1906 and was the daughter of the late Dainwood C. and Mary Andrews Whitt Tolbert. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Narrows and was also a member of the Lakeland Chapter #74 O.E.S. of Narrows. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira John Richardson, one son, Richard (Pete) Richardson, two stepsons, Emmett Richardson and The Rev. Powell Richardson, a brother, George Tolbert, a grandson, David Andrew Richardson and a granddaughter, Michelle Richardson. She is survived by six sons, Harold C. Richardson, Mayor Donald E. Richardson, Douglas B. Richardson, all of Narrows, Guy Richardson, Richmond, Capt. Paul Richardson, U.S. Navy, Springfield, David Richardson, Shelby, Ohio; a stepson, Bernard Richardson, Radford; three daughters, Nina R. Derby, Mary R. Rumburg, both of Hampton, Linda R. Smith, Yorktown; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Willie Reinhart, Hampton, Mrs. Clarice Brooks, Richmond, Mrs. Lucille Dennis, Princeton, Ind.; a brother, Sidney M. Tolbert, Dublin; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, March 12, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Narrows with the Rev. Ralph M. Kidd, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will meet their friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows, Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m.
