SNOW STALLS DEMOCRATIC PARTY CAUCUSES
The winter storm roaring into Virginia on Friday night temporarily stalled former Attorney General Mary Sue Terry's march to the Democratic nomination for governor.State party chairman Paul Goldman postponed until next Saturday caucuses scheduled for noon today in most cities and counties to select delegates to the state party convention in May. Caucuses originally scheduled for Monday night will be held on schedule.
Terry is heavily favored to win the gubernatorial nomination over Nancy Spannaus, a supporter of Lyndon LaRouche. The only other contest is for the nomination for attorney general; Arlington lawyer William D. Dolan III is heavily favored there. - Richmond Bureau
