OBIT DOSS, JUNIOR H.
DOSS, Junior H., 56, of Marion, Va. died Thursday, March 11, 1993 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Mr. Doss was a member of the Park Presbyterian Chapel and a life time honorary member of the Fairfax Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Gaye P. Doss of Marion; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Wesley Rowland of Manassas, Va., Teresa and David Whitacre of Clearbrook, Va.; his mother, Alva Doss of Chilhowie, Va.; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Dixie and Dan Prater of Marion, Va., Cindy and Tom Salyer of Kingsport, Tenn.; two sisters, Janie Young of Marion, Va., Bernie Moore of Seven-Mile Ford, Va.; two brothers, Dean Doss of Chilhowie, Va., Oscar Doss of Marion, Va.; four stepgrandchildren, Jennifer and Leah Prater of Marion, David and Andrew Salyer of Kingsport, Tenn. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Michael Weller officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Marion Life Saving Crew. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 at the Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
