TAKE IT EASY ON SMOKERS

I JUST wish people would lay off of cigarettes. I know they hurt your health, but those who have never smoked don't know what it is like to quit. And really, they are probably doing things that are a lot worse than cigarettes.

Those who want to keep smoking out of restaurants and public places - what are they going to do with people who have AIDS, which is worse than cigarettes?

Besides, the government gets a lot out of tobacco companies. What do they get out of AIDS? There are a lot of people working for the tobacco industry. At least they're not on welfare. THELMA MARTIN HARDY
