BAN MOTOR BOATS IN CARVINS COVE
WHY IS Roanoke so willing to risk the introduction of Zebra mussels into its water supply by continuing to permit motor boats in the Carvins Cove reservoir? It would cost the city millions to tackle the problem should they arrive.Once again, the desires of a special interest are given priority over the common good. Harrisonburg has a no-motors policy for its reservoir, and without a Smith Mountain Lake nearby! Someday we will wish we had done the same. BOBBI NAGY ROANOKE
