DAVIS-ACAMPORA

Mr. and Mrs. David Workman ofTimberlake, North Carolina and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis of Roanoke, Virginia, announce the engagement of theirdaughter, Miss Christa Marie Davis to Mr. Ralph Rudolph Acampora, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Acampora of Flushing, New York. A wedding in March, 1994 is planned.

Miss Davis is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Parsons, Sr. of Roanoke, and Mr. C. M. Davis, Sr., also of Roanoke. She is the great-granddaughter of Nellie P. Kingrea of Roanoke.

Mr. Acampora is the grandson ofStella Alberti of Accord, New York.

Miss Davis was graduated fromPulaski County High School and Hollins College and is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in philosophy at Emory University inAtlanta, Georgia. Mr. Acampora was graduated from Regis High School and the City University of New York. He ispresently completing a year of research on a Fulbright Fellowship in Melbourne, Australia and will soon receive his Ph.D. degree from Emory University.
