BLANKENSHIP ANNIVERSARY

James L. and Rachel Blankenship, Sr., celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on February 28, 1993. Adinner celebration hosted by their children and grandchildren, was held at the couple's home.

The couple was married on March 4th, 1933, in Roanoke. Mrs. Blankenship, the former Rachel Mandy Jackson, is retired from the V.A. Hospital. Mr. Blankenship is retired from Valley Metro.

Their sons and daughter-in-law are James and Mary Blankenship, Garry Blankenship and Larry Blankenship, all of Salem. They have five grandchildren, Cathy Crews, Cindy Crockett, Wesley Blankenship, Rachel Blankenship and Connie Blankenship; and two great-granddaughters, Adrienne Crews and Amy Crews.
