HARTMAN ANNIVERSARY

Elbert and Sara McNeill Hartman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 16, 1993. The celebration was held at Christian Life Fellowship Church in Salem and was hosted by their children. The couple was married at First Presbyterian Church, Bennettsville, S. C. They have resided in Roanoke for 49-50 years. Mrs. Hartman is the former Sara McNeill of Laurinburg, N. C. The couple's children are Joe A. Hartman, Thomas Hartman, J. Samuel Hartman, W. David Hartman, C. Sue Shealy, Beverly Reese, Nancy Johnson and Sara J. Jernigan. The have 15 grandchildren. Mr. Hartman is a retired home builder and Mrs. Hartman is retired from Roanoke City Schools. Several out of town guests attended the celebration.
