OBIT-HATCHER, MADISON CHESTERFIELD

HATCHER, Madison Chesterfield, 88, of Route 1, Forest, and formerly of Montvale, died Friday, March 12, 1993, in the Bedford County Nursing Home. He was born in Chilhowie, Va., on November 21, 1904, a son of the late Clark Chesterfield Hatcher and Emma Day Hatcher. He was a retired farmer, and was a member of Villamont Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Marian Overstreet Hatcher; a brother and sister-in-law, William B. and Nell Hatcher, Radford; a niece, Mary Conover, Pittman, N.J. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1993, at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dewey V. Page and the Rev. Ronnie K. Morris officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Friends may call at the Carder-Tharp Funeral, Bedford.
