OBIT-HOSTETTER, MARY KING

HOSTETTER, Mary King, 67, of Lexington, died Saturday, March 13, 1993, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born June 15, 1925, in Rockbridge Co., she was the daughter of the late James W. and Sallie M. Plogger Thompson. She was the widow of Ernest Franklin Hostetter and was a member of Oxford Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Effinger Fire Department Auxiliary. Surviving are four daughters, Patricia Ann Austin, Lexington, Va., Bonnie H. Landry, Cynthiana, Ken., Donna K. Cronk, Lexington, Va., Melanie J. Steger, Lexington, Va.; one sister, Myrtle Trussell, Lexington, Va.; two brothers, Lawrence Thompson, Lexington, Va., Bill Thompson, Lexington, Va.; special cousin, Robert Plogger, Lexington, Va.; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Barton L. Hellmuth officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Lexington Life Saving Crew or Effinger Volunteer Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
