OBIT SHELOR, LUCY JANE BOLT

SHELOR, Lucy Jane Bolt, 90, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, March 14, 1993, at Heritage Hall Health Center. Mrs. Shelor was born at Laurel Fork (Carroll County) on December 30, 1902, to the late William S. And Nancy Elizabeth Bowman Bolt. Mrs. Shelor was a charter member of the Revived Rebeka Lodge #100 for 39 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Roscoe Shelor; and two sons, Arlis Wendale Shelor Sr. and Carlie William Shelor. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Claude Acy and Ruby Shelor, Arnold Lee and Alice Shelor, Troy Leon and Betty Shelor, all of Blacksburg; a daughter in law, Nellie Virginia Shelor, Salem; a brother, Earl Bolt, Dobson, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Homer D. Sawyer will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and also Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
