ETC. DOUGHTY HONORED FOR VICTORY STADIUM STORY

Roanoke Times & World-News assistant sports editor Doug Doughty has been recognized by the Football Writers of America for a story on the 50th anniversary of Victory Stadium. Doughty was one of three writers receiving honorable mention in a category for investigative or breaking news. Ivan Maisel of the Dallas Morning News took first, and two other place winners were selected.
