OBIT CALLAHAN, GEORGE LEE

CALLAHAN, George Lee, 59, of Blue Ridge, died Friday, March 12, 1993 at his home. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren and an employee of Valley Metro. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lee Callahan. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Letchford Callahan; a daughter, Windi Callahan Wills, Blue Ridge; sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy Callahan Sr., Blue Ridge, John E. and Ginny Callahan, Roanoke; six grandchildren, Patrice and Erin Callahan, Roanoke, Blaine and Megan Callahan, Wirtz, Justin Callahan, Vinton, Dustin (Little Bit) Barfield, Blue Ridge; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 17 with the Rev. Matthew Fike officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
